This is the page users get when they click on the error message stating that a page is read-only.
At the end of 2004, the Tongs Wiki became near-unusable because of a series of very destructive spamming attempts in which spammers used this space to advertise their sites in the hope of increasing the Google ranking. Since we didn't have the resources to manually restore the damaged pages, our response was to block the site to everyone except those with a password. A few weeks after, we relaxed this to allowing everyone to view the site and only friends of ours to edit the site. This made things less fun for us; ~[we'd always enjoyed]~ people editing our pages. But then we were still sad about the wiki not being open, and decided to let people know the password here, and see if we still got spammed.
The password is the word in bold below. Put it in the Adminstrator Password box on the [preferences page], choose a username so we know who you are and edit away.
