At France 2005, the tongs turned IchakdanaBichakdana into a game. The way to play it goes something along these lines:
- Think of an object. This is usually something you can see, because we are lazy.
- Make a weak riddle around it. Usually this is done by characterising the object as an 'old man' (e.g. a tree) or a 'young girl' (e.g. a candle).
- Stand up and do the dance. Start waggling your right finger, and waggle your hips in a very exagerrated fashion. Then lift one of your legs and waggle that in the air. While doing this, sing IchakdanaBichakdana.
- Read out the riddle. In a diversion from the song, this is done in English.
- Ask people to say what they think it is. Make the KyaHandShape, and scream bolo bolo?.
- Watch the French people looking confused.
Hints
- The person doing the riddling is usually looking directly at the object when s/he says the riddle.
- Try to make your riddle symbolic, otherwise it's very obvious indeed. For example, She is an old tree whose roots wind around the land, and metal ants crawl along her.. Bolo Bolo? It's a motorway.
