A News Hound reports: Did the Daily Mail really describe Dr Gillian McKeith as "the World’s Most Acclaimed Nutritionist"? Sort of. According to The Mail on Sunday, dated 22 August 2004, her show "boasts a regular audience of four million who lap up the advice of a woman billed as the world s most acclaimed nutritionist." So really the Daily Mail was just reporting how Dr Gillian describes herself... and isn't it curious, also, that the website makes no mention of the same article's opinion that "At worst, she is a dangerous quack." and quotes John Garrow, professor emeritus in human nutrition at London University, as stating that "In my view Dr Gillian McKeith is a charlatan. For all I know she may genuinely believe what she says and has convinced herself she is giving the truth but there is no scientific basis in anything she says."
